Welcome to Waterbeach Barracks
Waterbeach Barracks lies just North of the global City of Cambridge, and just three miles from the Cambridge Science Park with some of the most dynamic employment in the world. Set in rich landscape with inherited woodland and a spectacular 23 acre lake, Waterbeach Barracks is evolving to create a new way of living.
At Waterbeach Barracks, our focus will create a place to be proud of, with new homes, investment in transport, renewable energy, green space, schools and healthcare to ensure an exemplar sustainable development.
New cycle and walking routes, community orchards and local shops are just a few of the facilities that will make this a place where wellbeing can flourish, in one of the best connected places to live in the country.

A10 Roundabout – works for new construction access underway
Work is underway to put in place the new access from the A10, which will act as both the main construction access, and in time a key gateway entrance for first residents.
A connected place
Whether travelling for leisure or business, Waterbeach has superb transport connections, which will only improve over the next few years. The development is designed to encourage healthy, active and care-free travel choices.
Urban&Civic has developed a series of principles to set out our approach and safeguard the quality of the design throughout the development.
